Wael Farouq is a visiting professor at Catholic University of Milano. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Professor Farouq was previously a fellow at The Straus Institute for the Advanced Study of Law & Justice at New York University and assis­tant professor for Islamic studies at the Copto-Catholic Faculty of Theology in Cairo. He has been a visiting professor at Macerata University since 2005 and an instructor at the American University in Cairo since 2006. He is a columnist in several Arab and Italian newspapers and magazines as well as president of the Tawasul Cultural Center for Inter-civilization Dialogue.
