Margaret Wardlaw, MD, is a pediatrician with a PhD in the medical humanities. In addition to clinical publications, her writing has appeared in US Catholic, Guernica, and Creative Nonfiction. Her essay, "Monsters," was the winner of a Pushcart Prize. She lives in Virginia with her husband and four children.
