Rev. Daylan Woodall is from the rural community of Calcis, Alabama, and currently serves as senior pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama. As a scholar, he explores the intersections of theological inquiry, historical analysis, and Christ-centered engagement with contemporary culture. As a writer, he is drawn to the people, places, and things that matter most – and are most often overlooked. Daylan and his wife, Kyra, have one son.
