Dr. Carolyn Haliburton Carter is a historian, professional genealogist, and public scholar specializing in African American genealogy, enslavement, and digital heritage. She is the founder of Storykeepers Heritage Network, and serves as Chair of the City of Detroit’s Historic Designation Advisory Board.
