Prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity since 2010, Cardinal Kurt Koch is responsible for nurturing relations between the Roman Catholic Church and other Christian denominations. Born in 1950 in Switzerland, he studied and taught theology in Munich and Lucerne and was appointed Bishop of Basel in 1995.
