A. M. Hickman is a writer, traveler, Catholic, and native of rural Upstate New York. After spending nearly a decade continuously traveling around the USA and hitchhiking over 100,000 miles, he served in the US Coast Guard, and later started a publication called Hickman's Hinterlands on Substack. There, he writes about the culture, future, and geography of the American hinterlands.
