    Cyril of Jerusalem

Cyril of Jerusalem (AD 313–386) was Archbishop of Jerusalem and a doctor of the church. He is known for developing Jerusalem into an international pilgrimage center, and for his chief surviving work, a collection of twenty-three catechetical lectures given to baptismal candidates.
