Carlos Egaña is a Brooklyn-based Venezuelan writer and educator. He has four books in Spanish in print: a novel titled Reggaetón (2022) and three poetry collections. In 2025, he was recognized by the Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee for his contributions to the fight for democracy in his country despite the personal cost.
