A. E. Stallings

A. E. (Alicia) Stallings grew up in Decatur, Georgia, and studied classics at the University of Georgia and Oxford University. Her poetry collection Like (2018) was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and her collection Olives (2012) was nominated for a National Book Critics Circle Award. Her poems have appeared in The Best American Poetry anthologies. Influenced by classical authors, she translated the pseudo-Homeric The Battle Between the Frogs and the Mice, and recently  published Frieze Frame, a book on Elgin, the poets, and the Parthenon. She lives in Athens, Greece, with her husband, and is serving as the Oxford Professor of Poetry. Twitter: @ae_stallings
