    Who’s Afraid of Muslims?

How can we counter fear and stereotypes about Islam among Christians? Join us to celebrate the recent launch of two new books that build bridges between cultures and bring together two faiths all too often at odds.

In Islamophobia: What Christians Should Know (and Do) about Anti-Muslim Discrimination, Jordan Denari Duffner makes the case that Christian faith calls us to combat religious discrimination even when it is not directed toward our own faith community. In Pillars: How Muslim Friends Led Me Closer to Jesus, Rachel Pieh Jones relates how personal friendships with Somali Muslims overcame her prejudices and expanded her faith during nearly two decades of living in the Horn of Africa.

Their conversation will be moderated by Hurunnessa Fariad, head of outreach at the ADAMS Center, a Muslim community in Washington, DC. Sign up here to join this virtual event.
