    Meet

Poet and professor of English at Barnard College, Margaret R. “Peggy” Ellsberg has edited a new anthology of the poetry and prose of Gerard Manley Hopkins, the great experimental poet and Jesuit priest. Published by Plough, The Gospel in Gerard Manley Hopkins has an introduction by Dana Gioia, poet laureate of California.

Bob Holman, Jennifer Franklin, Homa Zarghamee, William Sharpe, and other esteemed New York poets and critics helped celebrate the release of the book by reading short passages from Hopkins's poetry to a full house.
