Brandon Vaidyanathan is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institutional Flourishing Lab at The Catholic University of America. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame and his research examines how culture shapes religious, economic, and scientific institutions around the world. His books include Mercenaries and Missionaries (Cornell University Press, 2019), Secularity and Science (Oxford University Press, 2019), and Rebuilding Trust (CUA Press, 2025).
