CheckoutThe hundred-year anniversary of World War I has led many people to reflect on the staggering death and destruction caused by the “war to end all wars.” It may be more helpful to consider the voices that spoke out and resisted this war. This symposium, co-sponsored by Plough, will remember a range of people who resisted World War I, from peace churches to suffragists, and the impact of their stories today. Speakers will include representatives of the American Friends Service Committee, the Fellowship of Reconciliation, the Hutterites, and the War Resisters League. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour Fort Leavenworth and experience a memorial service for all conscientious objectors of World War I.
