I was reading Elie Wiesel’s book, Night. He’s sharing a story about when three Jews were murdered in the presence of other Jews. Somebody asks defiantly, Where is God now? And he says that the voice in his heart tells him that God has also been killed. I feel the same when I see people being killed, civilians and soldiers. I see Christ being killed.
