William Thomas Okie is professor of history and history education at Kennesaw State University in Georgia and associate editor of the journal Agricultural History. He is the author of The Georgia Peach: Culture, Agriculture and Environment in the American South (2016) and is at work on a book called Wayside: The Hidden Histories of Ordinary Plants.
